Confirm who you are with your NIC.
SkillBook links each profile to one verified person. We check your Sri Lankan National Identity Card once, privately — your ID images are deleted after verification. This gives you the platform-identity badge employers and clients look for.
What we check, in plain terms
Your name matches what you entered · the NIC isn’t expired · your face matches the photo on the card · the NIC hasn’t been used on another SkillBook account. We don’t store your NIC number — only a cryptographic hash that lets us detect duplicates.
Images are processed by our verification partner within seconds, then discarded. We keep only a yes/no result plus a hash that prevents duplicate accounts. Read the privacy note
